Slimm

Calhoun, whose Aquemini/Elektra debut album The Skinny

is scheduled for release 4/10, is gearing up for his special

guest appearance on Outkast’s Stank Love tour which kicked off

in Hampton, VA and runs through 4/14.

Pelle Pelle is on

board as Slimm’s official clothing sponsor for the tour,

using the up-and-coming Hot-Lantan to showcase the brand’s latest

fashions.

An ad campaign is also rumored to be in the works.

In addition, Slimm

and Outkast have partnered with the FootAction athletic

shoe retail chain for a series of in-store promotions that will

include

sampler distribution, a running video reel, appearances, exclusive

P.O.P.,

concert ticket giveaways and a grand prize flyaway contest.

Slimm Calhoun’s

debut album will be the first release on Outkast’s Aquemini

imprint. Outkast is currently enjoying platinum-plus success

with their

latest album, Stankonia.
