The
Tupac Shakur estate has reached a settlement
with Jimmy "Chopmaster" Dright and Network One,
the company that he owns. Dright possessed unreleased recordings
on Tupac Shakur, which he released without the proper authorization
from Tupac’s Estate.
According to
Launch, the estate of the late Tupac sent a letters to retailers
asking them not to sell the release, but under the terms
of the settlement, retailers will be authorized to carry
the set. Shakur: The Lost Tapes was recorded during the
summer of 1989 while Tupac was with Digital Underground.
