City Council committee has voted against a measure that

would have named a Bronx intersection after Christoper "Big

Pun" Rios because of their discomfort over his lyrics.

Fans of Big Pun collected over 7,000 signatures, requesting

to rename the intersection of 163rd and Rogers Place in

the Morrisania section of the Bronx, to be renamed after

the Hip-Hop artist. Big Pun died of a heart attack when

he was 28 years old.
