Def Jam has launched a "Free Slick Rick"

campaign on its website, requesting fans to sign a petition urging the Immigration

and Naturalization Service to allow Rick to return to his home in New York,

while they ponder his deportation case.

As AllHipHop.com reported last month, the INS

arrested Rick after he performed on a Tom Joyner Morning Show cruise. He has

been held for over eight weeks in Florida, pending an immigration hearing. The

INS refuses to release Rick, labeling him a "flight risk."
