Allen Iverson will display his lyrical ability

for the first time on television during Reebok’s latest advertising campaign

for Iverson’s sneaker, Answer 6. Iverson shares the spotlight with Lox member

Jadakiss during the commercial.

The commercial’s will premiere on Rap City next

Wednesday (Oct. 23) and will then air on eight different networks the following

day. The ad will come in :30 and :60 versions to be run on BET, MTV, ESPN, ESPN2,

FOX, UPN, NBA Properties

and Turner Sports. The campaign also features print advertisements, which are

also running in Slam, Vibe, The Source, XXL, ESPN The Magazine and Sports Illustrated.

Internet users will be able to view both versions

of the commercial and download the Mp3 of the Iverson/Jadakiss rap and see receive

behind the scenes photos of the ad shoot at http://www.rbk.com.

"It was a natural to take this commercial to the next level by having A.I.

rap this time around," Jadakiss told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "He

definitely has the rap skills, so this was really a hot idea."

The music for the spot was produced by Tone,

of the Trackmasters production team. The commercial was produced by Chris Robinson,

who has lensed videos for LL Cool J, The Fugees, Notorious B.I.G., Nas and P.

Diddy.

The Answer 6 hits stores October 25, 2002, with

a second line launching December 20. Iverson will wear the white/black/silver

colorway during Sixers home games throughout the 2002-03 NBA season and the

black/black colorway at away games.
