Washington, DC based rapper Storm The Unpredictable

won the Gold and Silver place awards in the Mid-Atlantic songwriters competition

this past weekend.

Storm’s song "Get Your Weight Up" won

the gold and "Darker The Berry" won the silver. Since Storm took home

the gold prize in the hip-hop/rap competition, the rapper moves on compete in

the grand finals against all the other gold winners in each category.

Storm has a new song "Contradictions,"

which appears on Strength In Numbers, a benefit CD for victims of the

recent Sniper attacks in the Maryland/Virginia area. The CD also benefits the

surviving members of a family who lost members when their house was set on fire

by a drug dealer in Baltimore.

Storm will also be performing Friday December

6 at The Tavern, which is located on the campus of American University (4400

Massachusetts Avenue, NW). Admission is $2 to catch emcee’s from American University,

Howard University, George Washington University and the University of Maryland

go head to head. The emcee’s will compete for $200 in cash, a trophy and a golden

microphone.
