Hip-Hop History Month Becomes Official In New York


Last Tuesday (Dec 17), the New York State Senate

passed the Hip-Hop History Month resolution, proclaiming November the official

month to celebrate hip-hop history in the state of New York.

Sponsored by New York State Senator Pedro Espada

Jr. and championed by Universal Zulu Nation Founder Afrika Bambaataa, the bill

passed unanimously by both the Democrats and Republicans.
