of Jive Records last week. Violator Records, Lighty’s record label, will be

distributed by Jive.

Under the new deal, Violator/Jive Records will

release former Loud Records group Mobb Deep, in August.

"I expect to continue my learning curve

here at Jive. The talent this label has on the roster is second to none and

I look forward to working with everyone," Lighty said.

Lighty will still remain president of Violator

Records and Violator Management, which handles Mobb Deep, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes,

Missy Elliot and others.

In addition to the new Mobb Deep album, Violator

will also release V3, the third album in a series of compilation albums

that feature Violator artists.
