Ashanti will grace the cover of the Source magazine’s upcoming issue,

making her one of the few R&B females to make the cover of the hip-hop

publication. Other honorees to be featured on the source cover have been Mary J. Blige and TLC.

“It’s definitely a

privilege, definitely an honor,” Ashanti told AllHipHop.com. “With all my

big brothers & me being a part of Murder Inc., I have a lot of urban

presence.”

“This is really so big,” Gotti said previously. “…[Now] we got the reigning princess of R&B up on that sh*t!”

Murder Inc. will drop Ashanti’s sophomore set, ‘Chapter 2,’

this summer.
