In a testament to the diversity of Hip-Hop music and culture, the Zagreb, Croatian Hip-Hop scene will be featured in the “Whut’s Really Hood” section of the March 2004 issue of The Source.”It is going to be the first two-page article on Zagreb in The Source, even though magazines like Mugshot, Hip-Hop Connection, Backspin and others covered our scene before,” Phat Phillie, co-author of the article told AllHipHop.com.Phat Phillie, host of Croatia’s popular mixshow, Blackout Rap Show, along with Croation Hip-Hop journalist by Velimir Grgic, penned the article.The development of the Zagreb Hip-Hop scene will be detailed, covering emcee’s, producers, Deejay’s, graffiti artists, B-Boys, clubs, radio stations, restaurants, records stores, clothing stores and more.”Croatian hip hop producers like Koolade, Baby Dooks & Dash have successfully produced and remixed artists like Sean Paul, Fat Joe, Angie Martinez, Masta Ace, El Da Sensei, Das Efx, Lil Mo, Miri Ben Ari and others,” Phillie continued. “Baby Dooks also produced a new Erick Sermon single “Close Da Club” feat.
