G-Unit member Lloyd Banks’ debut album The Hunger

for More

is outselling expectations and will debut at #1 next week on Billboard’s

Top 200 Charts.

The past three weeks have been banner weeks for

Hip-Hop starting when veteran group The Beastie Boys’ latest album To the

5 Boroughs shot to #1 and moved over 360,000 units.

The following week, Jadakiss dropped Kiss

of Death

, his sophomore effort and moved 245,000 units to claim the top

slot.

Banks’ debut effort will join the list, as it

on pace to sell over 450,000 copies in the first week on the shelves.

"The past three weeks are the perfect example

of Hip-Hop staying power and how is has and continues to expand beyond age and

race," Billboard’s Minal Patel told AllHipHop.com. Patel manages the R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap/Reggae

Charts Manager for the industry publication.

Despite strong competition from Lil Wayne and

Brandy who are both on pace to sell a solid 150,000 copies of their latest releases

in the first week, Patel said Banks’ album would definitely top charts.
