Radio/television celebrity Ms. Info and Kim Osorio, former Editor-In-Chief of The Source, managed to emerge victorious in the highly touted celebrity spades tournament that took place at club Strata yesterday in New York City.

The ladies faced fierce competition in stars like Joe Budden, MTV’s Sway & partner Rich Nice, Bad Boy’s Babs Bunny, champion boxer Zab Judah, BET’s Mad Linx, rapper Heather B, Shyheim, cast members from HBO’s “The Wire” and others. With host Fat Man Scoop of Hot 97, the industry-driven event was done all in the name of charity.

After winning, Ms. Info told AllHipHop.com, “Me and my partner were presented with a $10,000 check from Cynthia Moore of Anheuser-Busch/Budweiser that will go directly to charity of my choice, which was the Asian Women’s Center, a shelter for battered women.”

Although there were apparently some poor sports, the outing was all in fun and that was attractive to the card players. With a significant amount of trash-talkin’ to go around, Info and Osorio plowed through the likes of Joe Budden and Mad Linx to become “NYC’s Reigning Queens of Spades.”

“As for me and my partner Kim [Osorio], we just wanted to support the event because it was such a good cause and a great idea. We went in super humble, just hoping to maybe win one round so we could go home with our heads up. But we were definitely the lady underdogs,” Info continued. “But even though with all those serious players in there, nobody would ever bank on us.”

Organizer Shawn Prez of Power Moves Inc. intends to host the event in other major markets with a different set of celebrities. Prez has helped craft campaigns for Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, BET, Toyota, Pepsi and others.
