Since the beginning

of Hip-Hop, the mixtape has been an unseen integral part of the music business and now, a new magazine will be published to highlight new DJ’s, artists and industry elite.Mixtape Magazine will be published by Luigi Agostini of E. Entertainment

Group & Publishing.

The pocket size, 100 + page, four-color magazine will be published

on a quarterly basis and will be available on the East Coast in record shops,

retail clothing stores, and online.

“Our goal is to break artists by words,” said Editor-In-Chief

Kay Konnect. “We simply want to give shine to talent stranded in the dark

of the game. We also choose to shed light on those DJs, artists, executives,

and fashion-forward-folks that respect the business of mixtape music and the

Hip Hop culture.”

The magazine will include feature stories on Mixtape DJs, up-and-coming

artists, producers, music industry executives, nightlife professionals (executives

and promoters), mixtape reviews and fashion layouts with popular Hip Hop culture

celebrities.

The cover story of the launch issue profiles two mixtape heavyweights—DJ

Sickamore and DJ Drama of The Aphilliates.

Mixtape Magazine

will launch this spring with an estimated readership of 30,000 and will retail

for $3.95.
