Georgia peach Rasheeda offers a slew of club heaters in her latest Dat Type of Gurl (D-Lo Entertainment/Imperial/EMI). Rasheeda is not the ‘kinda gurl” as she oozes out in her first club friendly song, “Type of Gurl” to “fool with them boys living check to check.” The battle rages on about femcees coming across as gold diggers.  In Rasheeda’s summer-time mantra heavy album, she represents for self-sufficient women who want nothing more than to ride with a man of equal or greater status.“Let it Clap” featuring the in-demand Akon is truly one for the radio.  The popular “My Bubble Gum” is featured on the album twice as the remix is graced by singer/song-writer Kandi from Xcape and Diamond & Princess from Crime Mob.  Ladies will definitely finger-snap to this one.   Rasheeda started out as a member of the teenage Hip-Hop trio, Da Kaperz. Then she released her debut joint, Dirty South in 2001, which included Southern/Crunk royalty, Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy, Petey Pablo and Pastor Troy who were featured on her underground anthem, “Do It (Do Da Damn Thang).”Rasheeda keeps it Crunk, which the beauty is labeled queen of.  This album is not a socio-political joint brimming with ideas of reform.  Her relaxed flow is dedicated to sex lessons, getting money strategies and staying fly.  Kin to her Southern brethren preoccupied with whips, rims and women.  While Rasheeda exerts her power as a strong, street wise chic, the album falters for this same reason. Dat Type of Gurl, the 16-track, hood lollapalooza with seven left-over tracks from the 2006, Georgia Peach album, showcases a variety of star power (Baby, Jazze Pha, Pastor Troy(, however each song is a carbon copy of itself.
