Rapper 50 Cent has been tapped to star as a drug dealer in the movie Righteuous Kill, which also co-stars legendary actors Al Pacino and Rober De Niro.

 

The rapper revealed the news on Tuesday, during the launch of a Mahattan showroom for his G-Unit clothing.

 

“I’m not even sure they know yet,” 50 Cent told The New York Daily News. “Me and Robert were supposed to shoot a film where I played a police officer, but now Al and Robert play the cops.”

 

The movie centers around the two police officers who attempt to catch a serial killer, while resolving personal issues between each other.

 

Righteous Kill, which is written by Russell Gewirtz and shot by Emmy-nominated director Jon Avnet, is due in theaters in 2008.

 

In related news, 50 Cent peformed at Cipriani Wall Street last night in New York, at the personal request of the Duchess of York, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson.

 

Fergie walked the red carpet holding hands with 50 Cent during a charity event for UNICEF last night (June 20).

 

50 Cent is gearing up for this third major label release titled Curtis, which is due in stores September 4.
