Former Bad Boy South rapper Chopper is once again a wanted man.
The Baltimore Examiner reports that bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of the rapper, who is best known for his stint on MTV’s Making the Band 2.
According to Elizabeth Bartholomew, a spokeswoman for Maryland’s Division of Parole and Probation, the warrant alleges that Chopper (born Kevin Barnes) did not fulfill the terms of his probation, which stemmed from a conviction for an armed robbery.
Barnes, who is also known as Young City, was convicted in March for the crime after pleading guilty for committing a robbery with a BB gun on Sept. 29, 2001.
The then 16-year-old emcee was caught by detectives who found him on his bike with what turned out to be a pellet rifle.
Despite being released, Barnes was a no-show in court to answer for the crime.
As a result, a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
The rapper was pulled over in Atlanta in July 2006 and taken in on the outstanding warrant.
Barnes ultimately missed his court date in Baltimore County in August after he was jailed in Georgia.
Baltimore County Judge Michael Finifter later sentenced the rapper to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service.
As for the circumstances surrounding his latest arrest warrant, Bartholomew told the Examiner that Barnes did not report to his probation officer, falsified a home address and had not attempted to complete the required hours of community service.
Authorities are ordered to take Barnes to the Baltimore County Detention Center once he is captured.
