Rappers Fat Joe Yung Joc and Lil’ Wayne are among the artists set to participate in this year’s Ozone Awards.

The second annual event, which is scheduled to air Labor Day weekend on MTV Jams, takes place August 10-12 and honors the best in Hip-Hop music and entertainment from the South and beyond.

Viewers should expect a “bigger and better” awards show, according to Ozone magazine CEO Julia Beverly.

Ozone’s past collaborations with MTV Jams have helped us grow from a small underground publication to a nationally recognized brand,” Beverly said in a statement. “The first annual Ozone Awards airing on Jams last year was a great look for everyone involved, so we’re excited to be working with them again this year.”

In addition to Fat Joe, Yung Joc and Lil’ Wayne, the Ozone Awards will feature various presenters and performers including T-Pain, Young Jeezy & USDA, Plies, Lil Wayne, Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Lloyd, Rich Boy, Fat Joe, Bun B, Pimp C, Shop Boyz, Trey Songz, Lil Scrappy and Trick Daddy.

The Ozone Awards weekend also include DJ’s Tastemakers Only music conference.

The conference will include a panel featuring Mannie Fresh, Polow da Don, DJ Drama, Play & Skillz, Cool & Dre, DJ Khaled, DJ Irie and Bryan Michael Cox.

Broadcasting the Ozone Awards on MTV Jams is a plus for the network, said Tuma Basa, MTV Jams manager of music programming.

“The authenticity of the OZONE Awards is what constantly draws MTV Jams to the event,” Basa stated. “The performers, nominees, and audience bring a completely unmatched level of realness and raw energy to the OZONE Awards and totally captures what the MTV Jams audience is looking for from the channel.”

The Ozone Awards will air on MTV Jams from September 1-3.
