Rapper/producer Kanye West will take the stage as one of two headliners for this year’s BANG! Music festival.
The event, which is scheduled to take place Nov. 10 and 11 at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami, will feature a diverse line up of artists.
West, along with Riverboat Gamblers and Automatic Loveletter, will perform on Nov. 10, while co-headliners The Smashing Pumpkins will hit the stage on Nov. 11 with The Bravery and Kevens.
The full line-up of 30 expected acts will be announced at a later date.
In its 2005 debut, the BANG! Music festival featured a heavy dance music lineup that consisted of Fischerspooner, Front 242, Brazilian Girls, VHS or BETA and Chicks On Speed as well as DJs ATB, Judge Jules, DJ Icey and Bad Boy Bill.
The 2006 festival offered a more eclectic roster of performers that included Duran Duran, Daft Punk, Gnarls Barkley, Modest Mouse, Kinky, Tiësto and Junior “Gong” Marley.
Unlike the previous BANG! Festivals, the performers at this year’s event will be on one main stage.
For Philippe Haddad, CEO of the festival’s promoter Haddad Productions, the event’s two-day expansion was done to “allow fans ample time to enjoy themselves and to really take in the music.”
“I feel that we had so much going on last year that people didn’t really have a chance to experience all the artists they had anticipated seeing,” he stated. “Additionally, the Bayfront Park Ampitheatre has superior acoustics and sound quality that will deliver an unparalleled experience to this year’s BANG! attendees.”
In addition to the performances, mist tents, Port-o-lets, food concessions and clothing and jewelry vendors will be set up for festival goers as well as bleachers, an eco-village and an onsite ATMs.
Tickets for the BANG! Music festival will go on sale at 10 a.m. ET Saturday (Sept. 1) and can be purchased through http://www.BangMusicFestival.com.
