On the rumor side, I heard that AHH tried to get their long-time buddy Jean Grae to rep for the ladies. I heard that she’s the standby in the event somebody gets cold feet! Jean is a beast, never forget. Some of the contestants are already talking a bit! This is going down in history!

JAY-Z AND BEYONCE – WEDDING BELLS?You know its getting hip to get married. Look at Usher, for example – he was on some “against all odds” stuff with his marriage. Well, Jay-Z has re-ignited the firestorm surrounding the wedding rumors again. The rap don recently told US magazine that he’d consider getting married.
“I don’t know,” he said. “It’s kind of comfortable here. If [Palazzo] President Rob Goldstein] throws in the ring, who knows?” Jay told Us.
Well, here is the deal. Jay is opening a new40/40 club/ restaurant in Las Vegas and he actually answered one of the reporter’s questions regarding marriage to Beyonce. To me it sounds like a joke reply, but usually he doesn’t say anything at all.
In this picture (below), this other guy looks like he’s got more respect for Jay than anybody on the face of Mother Earth. In fact, he looks like he is a liberal appointing the first Black president. “It is my supreme honor to appoint you President of Marcy.” And, tell me B doesn’t look like the First Lady – all like Jackie Onassis.
DR. CORNEL WEST AT AHH’S SOCIAL LOUNGE
I’m not sure if you all are familiar with Dr. Cornel West. He is the OG of all modern scholars. When I say that I mean, he is so cool, he can do a rap album with Andre 3000, Talib Kweli, Krs One, Black Thought of The Roots, Rah Digga, Rhymefest, Killer Mike, M1 of dead prez and more. Well, he’s the centerpiece of AHH’s Social Lounge, which will feature others. That’s a surprise. SWIZZ MAD AT TALIB?
Ok, there is no beef with Talib Kweli, but in an email that he fired off to his label, Swizz expressed his disappointment in his first week sales. He and Talib came out the same day and Swizz pushed 45k and Talib moved 60k. Well, Swizz admitted that was an “L,” he seemed to direct some of that to Talib. “Talib Kweli outdid me without a hit,” he said. In the email, he called his project “a waste of time” and said that Talib was all over the blogs and other sites being promoted. Hmmmmm…Swizz had a radio hit record and had a lot of play too. I think he is just upset. He was driving a Lambo in NY to a Common party…he’ll be fine. And for the record, his album is cool..its fun and light.
HAITIAN JACK DEPORTED?
I heard a rumor many moons ago, but because it had the name “Haitian Jack,” I looked the other way! Just kidding. Seriously, I heard that Jack might have been deported from the US back to his native Haiti. Anyway, I can’t really say if this is factual, but there are a quite a few Haitians in the rap game. The government kept giving Slick Rick a hard time, so it is not out of the question that Jack could get the business as well. (Wyclef and Lil’ Boosie have a song called “Haitian Fresh,” by the way.)
JOE BUDDEN RUMORS!
I forgot, the rumor about Joe Budden. I was all wrapped up into that battle. All you worried fans can rest your fluttering heats. Joe Budden is now in good health and spirits. From what I heard, he was actually pretty sick for a minute or two, but is back. JEEZ. Anyway, he had a recent birthday party in NYC., Click here for the pictures.
50 CENT AND JIM JONES…
So, here is the latest. Unless BET wants to make me look like a complete idiot, 50 Cent and Jim Jones are going to appear on “Rap City” next week. From there, the rumors flew. Don’t you think it is an interesting thing…even sitting down together considering the way Cam and 50 Cent are? Think about that for a second. Anyway, moving forward, I initially spoke to a source that is close to the 50 Cent side of things. That’s where the signing G-Unit stuff came from…not that it is false. However, I talked to somebody on the other side – the Jim Jones side. They said that it wasn’t true, that Jim wasn’t signing with G-Unit. By the same token, some of these people said there was no friction with Cam and Jim AFTER Jim aired it out to Miss Info. So, there you have it. I supposed we’ll find out sooner than later.
On yeah…one last thing. According to my people, Jim is definitely leaving Koch or major pastures. He’s and executive at Warner and I heard that might be the home for him as an artist as well. That would be cool. He and Freekey Zeke and 50 Cent can all be there together. Well, you know, there are rumors 50 Cent might go there after Before I Self Destruct comes out.
THIS JUST IN: Speaking of Miss Info, I got this quote from her and she dispelled the whole thing.
“I won’t be signing him, but I don’t have a problem with him,” 50 said.

OK, conspiracy theorists…it is now time to brainstorm. I had a brief convo with somebody that said that both Def Jam and Interscope will do whatever it takes for their artist to “sell” more in their first week. This notion included dispatching street teams nationwide to buy out the albums at retail. I’ve heard for the longest that labels to actually buy their own CD’s to make the first week at the “box office” smash. I don’t know…and I guess we’ll never know, huh?
LAURYN HILL SUICIDAL?
Now, I know this is nothing to play with so I will choose my words carefully, but AHH did a recent interview with Pras and the former Fugee said that Lauryn was suffering from depression and possibly suicidal. Clef has stated on the record that he thinks she needs psychiatric help. I don’t know what to think about this one other than I hope they can work things out… You know, Lauryn left a gaping hole that no female rapper has ever been able to fill. That’s why we’re still talking about her.

You know, this is funny. And yes, I know 50 is in the media at every turn! I know not what to do, but this vid with Souljah Boy is funny. Souljah looks a lil intimidated by the G-Unit guy.
A RADIO STATION STALKS DIDDY…
A radio station in Las Vegas apparently was stalking Diddy and Kim or just Diddy. They said that Diddy and Kim were seen together at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. By the night’s end, they were rumored to be headed to the presidential suite of the Bellagio. I don’t know, I guess…that’s that.
