Grammy Award winning emcee Kanye West has been tapped as headliner for the Australia Good Vibrations Festival.The Good Vibrations Festival, which is approaching its fifth year in Feb. 2008, has become a landmark on the Australian summer calendar.”Australia get ready for the best show of your life,” Kanye West stated in the Daily Telegraph after being announced as the main headliner of the show.Since its debut, The Good Vibrations Festival has been known for having botanic gardens and natural amphitheatres as the backdrop for proceedings to create a relaxed and inviting environment.Previous performing artists have included James Brown, Moloko, Scissor Sisters, Lyrics Born, Gangstarr, Ben Watt, Talib Kweli, Soul II Soul, DJ Format, Mylo, Arrested Development, Blackalicious, Bahamadia, Estelle and others.The Good Vibrations Festival is schedule to be held on February 16, 2008 in Sydney, Australia and will also feature acts Cypress Hill, The Rapture and Katalyst.In addition to performing, Kanye West will thank fans with the release of his literary debut titled “Thank You and You’re Welcome” which is co-written by Sakiya Sandifer.The book contains a variety of “Kanye-isms” and philosophies found in the rapper’s lyrics.”Thank You and You’re Welcome” is scheduled to drop in 2008 and will be available for $10, but fans can preview the book on Kanye’s website before it is released according to the Chicago bred emcee.For more information on “Thank You and You’re Welcome,” log onto www.kanyeunivercity.com.
