West Coast rap group Tha Dogg Pound has announced today that they have terminated a deal with Cash Money Records over a financial dispute.

Tha Dogg Pound, which features rappers Kurupt and Daz, announced a deal with the New Orleans-based record label in August, but the deal never produced any tangible results.

Just three months after announcing the deal, the group has opted leave Cash Money Records to pursue other options for the distribution of their music.

“Cash Money just couldn’t come up with the cash,” the group said in a statement. “Though the Tha Dogg Pound was looking forward to working with Slim and Baby, Tha Dogg Pound is moving on to pursue other endeavors.”

Tha Dogg Pound will continue to record and are currently in negotiations with various companies to release their new material, as well as Daz’ upcoming solo project, Only on the Left Side.
