Lifetime will air the spots starting in January and will run the commercials until Election Day on November 4.

“Women have a lot to say about the issues they want addressed in the presidential campaign. I am excited to join forces with Lifetime Networks to use my tour to get their voices heard,” Latifah told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “It doesn’t matter what party the women I talk to are affiliated with; we just want to make sure that women, 52 percent of the population, get the opportunity to get their point across because they are shaping our country’s future.”

Lifetime will also interview celebrities, leaders visitors to the mylifetime.com website with the goal of collecting one million replies on camera, online and on post cards.

Those answers will then be shared with nonprofit organizations and the media and will ultimately be delivered to the new President of the United States at the White House in January of 2009.
