Rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller is continuing to connect with fans through his literary endeavors by taking part in a new venture with Conversations Book Club.
The event, which is called the Tru Conversations Hour, will give fans a chance to discuss Millers best-selling novel Death Around the Corner.
Readers will be able to converse with the rapper live, by calling a special phone number and putting in an access code .
The chats will be moderated by Conversations Book Club president Cyrus A. Webb and feature discussions stemming from excerpts from Death Around the Corner, that will be read by Webb.
Organizers encourage all questions during the chat to be centered around the fictional book, which focuses on the life of a man trying to survive on the streets in pre-Katrina New Orleans.
In addition to be being a best seller, Death Around the Corner was chosen as Conversations Book Club’s “Book of the Year 2007.”
The Tru Conversations Hour isnt the first time Tru Publishing president Miller and Webb have joined forces.
The pair began working together last year, when Webb helped C-Murder organize a tour of Louisiana and Mississippi to promote Death Around the Corner.
The Tru Conversations Hour will be held at 7 p.m. CST every Thursday through February. Fans can call 712.432.3000 and use access code 398736.
Podcasts of each session of the event, which kicked off last night (Jan. 3), will be available for free at http://www.thebestbookclub.info.
