A representative for Island Def Jam has come forward to dispel growing reports that the label is planning to drop Nas, due to the title of his upcoming controversial CD, N****r. Reports surfaced this week stating that retailers were leery of carrying the CD. According to reports, if Nas refused to change the title, Island Def Jam, which is a unit of Universal Music Group, was prepared to drop him from the label. “That is absolutely ridiculous and untrue,” an Island Def Jam spokesperson told AllHipHop.com.
