Lil Wayne made it to Richmond, Virginia to perform for a sellout crowd last night (January 25), but the rapper was more than three hours late, after spending the day in an Arizona court.

 

According to The Richmond-Times Dispatch, the rapper’s plane had to be rerouted while en route to Richmond, causing the him to be late to his show at the Landmark Theater, which angered fans that attended.

 

“I just flew in 10 minutes ago. I just had to deal with a whole lot of bulls**t today, but I guess you know that,” Lil Wayne told the crowd. “I want you to know that no one in this building had nothing to do with the attitude I got right now . . . some [stuff] happened today that made me look at life in a different way. I’m [ticked] off to the highest point right now and trying to get it together for y’all.”

 

According to The Times-Dispatch, the rapper gave half hearted performances of “I’m a D-Boy ” and “Duffle Bag Boy,” before the rapper walked off the stage.

 

Some shocked fans began to leave the venue, when Lil’ Wayne returned to the stage rejuvenated.

 

After apologizing to the crowd, Lil Wayne performed for the next hour to a confused, but enthusiastic crowd.

 

Earlier yesterday, Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Carter Jr., was in a Wellton, Arizona court, where he was charged with three felonies, stemming from an incident on Tuesday (January 22).

 

The rapper’s tour bus was pulled over by U.S. Border Patrol officers near Dateland, Arizona, which is over 75 miles from Yuma.

 

A canine unit alert officers to the possibility of drugs on the rapper’s tour bus, which was carrying 11 other people.

 

Police searched the vehicle and found 3 ounces marijuana, over an ounce cocaine and over an ounce of Ecstasy, as well as $22,000 dollars in cash.

 

Lil Wayne was charged with felony possession of a narcotic for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $10,185 bail.

 

The rapper appeared in court yesterday and then immediately left on a private plane for the performance at the Landmark Theater in Richmond.

 

Lil Wayne is scheduled to perform tonight(January 26) in Chattanooga Tennessee.
