Hip-Hop fans in the Atlanta area have reason to rejoice next week, as the annual A3C Hip-Hop festival launches March 20th-22nd.
The festival is the largest Hip-Hop cultural event in the Southeast, and a platform for artists, writers, A&Rs, and fans.
This year the big story is the reunion of the legendary Juice Crew, whom will perform Friday at midnight (only Masta Ace will be missing due to previous commitments).
“I have a surprise for the show that people may not wanna miss and that’s all I’ll say on that,” said Juice Crew member Craig G., who is preparing his new album Operation: Take Back Hip-Hop with producer Marley Marl.
“All in all it feels good, Craig G. told AllHipHop.com. Why can’t people from our demographic still go out to a Hip-Hop show and hear good music and the younger fans there can get educated a bit? [Im] not saying they [the rappers] are as big as The [Rolling] Stones or The Eagles but a lot of artists from the so called golden era have great shows! Who says touring like them [the rock groups] shouldn’t be possible?”
Other artists performing over the three-day festival include: Little Brother, Reup Gang/Clipse, Blu, Jeru the Damaja, and many more.
There will also be beat battles, urban art, b-boy exhibitions, fashion shows, and movie screenings.
Tickets for the festival range from $30-$45.
