Mariah Carey may normally command the spotlight, but the Grammy Award winning songstress has made room for Miami-based rapper Rick Ross on the remix to her hit single “Touch My Body.”

The song, which finds Carey utilizing an almost rap-like flow, also features fellow R&B singer The Dream.

“Whenever an artist of Mariah’s caliber is involved you gotta bring you’re A game,” Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com. “’Touch My Body’ is a big record and I just had to add that street flavor…that Maybach music.”

Collaborating with the successful diva confirms what The Dream already knew about his talents.

“To receive a call from Mariah Carey to be a part of the remix shows me that people really listen and work pays off when you put your heart in to it,” said The Dream, who did double duty on the remix by producing the new version of the song with Tricky Stewart.

“Touch My Body” is the lead single off Carey’s forthcoming album E=MC2.

The release is the follow-up to Carey’s multi-platinum 2005 effort The Emancipation of Mimi.

Ross is the latest MC to work with Carey.

The songbird has aligned with numerous rappers over the years, including Jay-Z, Da Brat, Busta Rhymes, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Mobb Deep, Bow Wow and Snoop Dogg.

Mariah Carey’s E=MC2 is slated to hit stores on April 15.
