Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight is taking his hunt for new talent to the small screen with his new reality TV show Unfinished Business.
The series will feature Knight as he builds his new label, Blackball Records, with a stable of aspiring artists.
The music executive will also reveal details about his stint at Death Row and his dealings with the labels roster, which included rapper Snoop Dogg and producer Dr. Dre.
“It aint like the fake reality s**t,” Knight told Washington D.C. based Urban Flavorz TV after the recent Mary J. Blige/Jay-Z concert in the nations capitol. “Its a lot of stuff going on but you gotta watch the show to see what it is. Its like real life, Knight continued. So whatever it is its real life. If you see me in Compton, Im in Compton. Watts, South Central, Inglewood wherever the f**k it is. No matter where it is. We do it how we do it.”
Creating a solid stable of artists is nothing new for Knight who is best known for running Death Row during the labels hey day in the 90s.
In addition to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, the label housed artists such as Tha Dogg Pound, the Lady of Rage and Tupac Shakur.
Despite a trailer that recently hit the Internet, no official date has been given for the premier of Unfinished Business other than it will air “sometime soon.”
“The show is ridiculous. It’s hot,” Knight said. “I think everybody is gonna watch it. From East to West coast. I think everybody is gonna watch it.”
