The Ralph Lauren Atlanta star hosted hundreds of celebrities and members of the local community out in support the Ludacris Foundation on Thursday (April 24).

The store, located in Lenox Square in the Buckhead, closed it’s doors to the general public at 6:00pm for a three hour private shopping event benefiting Grammy award winning rapper/actor Ludacris’s charity.

The patrons became the largest crowd in the event’s three year history, Ludacris told the crowd.

“The turnout was amazing and the event was above expectation,” said Chaka Zulu, CEO and co-founder of Disturbing Tha Peace Records. “We know the Atlanta community is rich in so many ways and they constantly support DTP on so many levels.”

Fergie, Jazze Pha, India Arie, Bryan Michael Cox, Bubba Sparxx, Rich Boy, Polow, and 112’s Darron Jones joined hosts Ciara, Ludacris, and Chaka Zulu, as a capacity crowd milled around making their selections.

The Ralph Lauren Charity event raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Ludacris Foundation.

“We just wanted to speak and touch the community before we get back to the music grind,” continued Chaka, who also manages Ludacris. “We are gonna do what we have become known for: doing bigger and better things.”

Earlier in the evening, Ludacris hosted a $100 dollar-a-plate benefit for HIV/AIDS research during the grand opening of his new restaurant, Straits, in Atlanta.
