Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown has replied to recent comments made by her former manager Chaz “Slim” Williams, CEO of Black Hand Entertainment.
Williams, whose infamous criminal career and subsequent rise in the music industry was chronicled on a recent episode of American Gangster, has had a strained relationship with Foxy Brown since she was released from Rikers Island in April.
The pair are at odds over Brown’s Koch Records release Brooklyn’s Don Diva, which Williams assembled and produced while the rapper was incarcerated for violating her probation.
Brown has responded to recent controversial comments that Williams made on Shade 45′s Lip Service show on Monday, warning the Brooklyn rapper that he was “prepared for war.”
“I am far more interested in the truth, than making this guy famous,” Foxy Brown told AllHipHop.com. “This was probably the most illogical business decision I’ve ever made in my entire career. But I believe in giving a n***a a chance…so I did. Completely ignoring my intuition.”
Foxy Brown dismissed the comments and Chaz Williams himself has since clarified his comments, noting that he was speaking in general terms and didnt mean to imply any threat of physical harm against the female rapper.
Foxy Brown and Williams have since parted ways.
She is now working on her upcoming official album Black Roses.
“Michael Koch had been courting me for over five years, however I was obligated to a multi-million dollar deal with Def Jam,” Brown said of her recent alliance with Koch Records.
No release date was available for Black Roses as of press time.
