Dipset member Freekey Zekey has inked a solo recording deal with Atlanta based record label Big Cat Records, AllHipHop.com has learned.
Freekey Zekey, who is billed as the President of Diplomat Records, is currently working on an untitled debut for Big Cat Records, the label that helped bring Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane to prominence.
Juelz Santana is expected to executive produce the album, which is the follow up to his latest two mixtapes, The Book of Ezekial and Blame It On the Henny.
We are extremely happy for Zeke, Juelz Santana told AllHipHop.com in a press release today (May 27), while Jim Jones added: We are looking forward to sharing his success with him.
Jones, a noted video director, will also shoot Freekey Zekeys first video from his debut release on Big Cat Records.
We are extremely excited about signing Zeke to our label, said Mel Breeden, President of Big Cat Records. We have proven ourselves to be a viable force in the South, so we are looking forward to doing the same with Zeke as he is from the North.
Freekey Zekey is currently on the road along with his new group 730 Dipset which features group members Sen; Tito Green; and Jet Lag Ash.
The rapper will also head to Europe for a ten-city tour with fellow Dipset members Juelz Santana and JR Writer.
