DID WAYNE REALLY PUSH “A MILLI?”
You knew this one was coming. First, of all, the record industry is singing a sigh of relief after Wayne did his numbers. When I reported on his numbers sold, I said two things. I said that my sources at Universal said he moved 960,000. Then, I said other sources high up in retail said that Weezy did over a million. The sales of the album were remarkable to say the least, but some are theorizing that he may have gotten some help. Back in the day, labels would buy back their own CDs so that an artist had a great first week sales to generate excitement around the project. So, they hope it will sell a mill the first week and then eventually move 2 million or in Wayne’s case 5 gazillion. How Wayne overcame an epic leak like that is beyond me. Congrats are in order, but the rumors persist…did he really sell “a milli?”
A SUGE KNIGHT SIGHTINGLeave it to TMZ to find Suge Knight out and about. This is the first time since that infamous K.O. The Death Row master man was found out in Los Angeles doing what big willies do. Did I just say big willies? I apologize for that. Anyway, the cameraman was playing with his life. The guy asked Suge a few questions to get him to speak on any random stuff like the slaying of the Lakers. He taped Suge a bit and his crew stopped him from taping. They tried to get him to record over the lil’ bit that he did have and he basically lied and kept what he had. Suge and the crew knew he didn’t tape over it. He accused them of threatening him. Anyway, she scooped up a couple of girls and somebody screamed, “Where a condom!”LOL…Peep this video about Suge on the net. This is TOO funny!
SPARKLE SPEAKS ABOUT R.KELLY VERDICT!!!!
Sparkle checked in with ‘LIVE with Kendra G. and DJ Touchtone’ on 100.3 THE BEAT in Philly and gave her thoughts about the R.Kelly verdict! Sparkle told Kendra G. and DJ Touchtone that she was surprised about the verdict but honestly she didn’t want to see Robert (R.Kelly) go to jail, she just wanted him to get help. She also shared the fact that her family is still mad at her for coming forward to testify against R.Kelly and her niece who was allegedly on the tape is still not talking to Sparkle, nor her parents! When asked did she think her family was paid off to be silent Sparkle claims ‘that’s what people are speculating but it is what it is’. Overall Sparkle told Kendra G. and DJ Touchtone she is okay with the verdict and that only GOD can be the judge and she is focusing on trying to repair the scars that have been left on her family.

Shelz: Ok, I’m the bearer of comforting news. Y’all can stop calling the hospitals; stop emailing Atlantic Records and actually get some rest tonight. Lil Kim was not in a car accident. It turns out she wasn’t even in the state when the alleged accident occurred. They say her moms was very upset about it when she heard it on the radio, but Moms is all good now that her lil girl is known to be alright. And lol @ some other outlet giving the actual intersection where the accident occurred (or didn’t occur) and asking listeners to go past there and take some pics. What were they going to capture, melted cracked plastic? And I’m not talking about the car. Anyway, seems to me after hearing about Flip that we have a serial fake car accident reporter running the streets. Y’all be safe and keep your eyes peeled.

I hate to say this, but I have to agree with Soulja Boy – to some degree. Obviously, he says some disrespectful stuff, but Ice-T did too. Soulja Boy will never be up to Ice-T as far as Hip-Hop is concerned or as far as lyricism is concerned. The only constant is changed. Yes, Soulja Boy isn’t a good rapper, but I don’t think Ice-T did that the right way. And this is coming from an Ice-T fan. “Give me some pointers” I might take Soulja Boy up on that.

Out with the old and in with the new. Pac-man Jones is channeling Diddy and dumping the moniker. He told someone; somewhere the name “Pac-Man” is intrinsically tethered to his bad behavior (well you know he didn’t say intrinsically tethered.) So as he dumps the bad behavior, he dumps the name; opting to just be called Adam. He who controls the indoor weather and should start attaching fishing wire to his dead presidents is turning over a new leaf. Ya know, I find this amusing. It reminds me of the powers that be in Atlanta changing the name of the infamous Bankhead to Hollowell/Veterans Memorial as if we would magically forget it was the hoe stroll even though there were still hoes….well, strolling.
Anyway, I bet you Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde aren’t too impressed with this. Hope they don’t have any taped conversations.
