Keyshia Cole’s mother is still alive, despite the negative assertions of internet rumors that have reported her sudden demise.

The gossip of mother Frankie Lons’ death has prompted a statement from Cole’s management company, Imani Entertainment.

“Imani Entertainment has received a huge amount of inquiries in regard to the rumor about Keyshia Cole’s biological mom, Frankie Lons, having recently passed in an automobile accident,” the company said in a statement. “The rumor has absolutely no truth to it — Frankie has not been in any accident of any kind and is doing well at home in Atlanta.”

Cole and company were gracious to those worried for Lons’ welfare.

“We want to thank all of Frankie’s fans for their concern.”

Lons is a co-star on Cole’s highly-touted BET reality show, “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is.” She has been a controversial, but adored figure on the show.
