Popular Hip-Hop producer/rapper Pharrell Williams and advertising executive Steve Stoute are among the executives that will take part in Billboard and Adweeks first annual Music & Advertising conference.
The new two-day inaugural event will take place at the W Hotel in New York on Lexington June 4-5.
The conference is designed to explore the synergies between brands, the world of advertising and the music business, through keynote interviews, case studies and panel discussions.
The Music and Advertising conference will also allow attendees to network with agency executives, brand executives to reach new markets.
Williams will be featured in a Q&A session with Billboards Editorial Director Bill Werde, while Stoute, Translations Chief Creative Officer, will deliver the event’s first keynote speech.
Other speakers include David Jones, CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide & Havas Worldwide, Camille Hackney of Atlantic Records, Mike Boris of McCann Erickson, Josh Rabinowitz of Grey Worldwide, Jon Cohen of Cornerstone, Douglas Scott of OgilvyEntertainment, Umut Özaydinli of Coca-Cola, Roxanne Bernstein of Crystal Light and others.
In related news, Pharrell Williams has invested in Bionic Yam, a 2-year-old textile firm, based in New York, dedicated to producing environmentally sustainable fabrics using recycled plastic bottles.
