Lil Wayne’s Rebirth album, a rock/rap hybrid, has been pushed back again says one member of Young Money.

Shanell, a contributor, say the album will be ready when the creative vision is finished.

“Right now [the album is set for release in] September, but let me tell y’all, great art takes time and you’ll expect it and expect it and expect it again, but when it’s perfect, you guys will receive it,” Shanell told tells rap-up.com.

Shanell is a singer that co-wrote “Prom Queen,” a single on Rebirth.

A representative for Universal Records didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Rebirth has been delayed several times, with the most recent date being in August.
