Cash Money Records founders Bryan Birdman Williams and Ronald Slim Williams will give back to the city of New Orleans this holiday season with their 13th Annual Turkey Giveaway.
The brothers will host the giveaway on November 24 in New Orleans, to help those less fortunate, including those who continue to be affected by the devastation inflicted upon the city by Hurricane Katrina.
Between 1,400 – 1,600 turkeys will be given away during the event, which is sponsored by their philanthropic organization, The Johnny and Gladys Williams Foundation, in memory of their parents.
“This makes us feel just as good as those getting the turkeys,” Ronald Slim Williams told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “It means a lot to us to be able to use our success to help others not as fortunate.”
The brothers have set up a number of non-profit organizations to give back to the city of New Orleans.
They recently launched a new effort, the Cash Money for Kids Program, which rewards students for academic performance with free tickets to a New Orleans Hornet game.
This is our way of giving back to the community & that City of New Orleans that Cash Money owes its heart and soul to, added Bryan Birdman Williams.
Cash Money is home to a number of hit artists, including Lil Wayne, Drake, Jay Sean, Nicki Minaj and others.
The label’s 13th Annual Turkey Giveaway takes place from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on November 24 at Taylor Park.
