The scene was electric yesterday afternoon (November 13) in Las Vegas for the weigh-in of tonight’s superfight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto.
As expected, the Filipino and Puerto Rican fanbases were out in mass to support their countrymen. Cotto made the contracted catchweight of 145 pounds without complications, and looked healthy and cut.
Pacquiao was ripped as usual and tipped the scales at 144 pounds.
Now that both men have rehydrated, Miguel Cotto should retain his weight and strength advantage as he’ll be around 160 pounds tonight. Pacquiao will likely hover slightly above 150.
There should be no excuses; Miguel and Manny look 100%. The winner won’t be because someone was “shot” or fighting above their “natural” weight. It’ll be because the victor is simply the better fighter.
The HBO PPV card starts tonight at 9PM. AllHipHop.com will supply round by round ringside coverage for the main event.
