R&B singer Brandy recently launched her new career as a rapper on Timbalands new album Shock Value 2.
Brandy created the new rap alias Bran Nu and rhymes under the alias on the track Meet in The Middle, which is taken from Timbalands album, which hit stores Tuesday (December 8).
Timbaland tapped Brandy for her rhyming ability after he saw a video of the singer rhyming on YouTube.
What Im doing on the album is a little bit different than what everybody knows me for. It was a great experience. I got a chance to be another part of myself, Brandy said in published reports.
Shock Value 2 is the follow up to Timberland’s platinum selling album Shock Value which was released in April of 2007.
The original album spawned hit singles from Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and One Republic.
On the sequel, Timbaland rounds up guests Miley Cyrus, The Fray, Katy Perry, Drake, Nelly Furtado, OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake, who all make Cameo appearances on the album.
Shock Value 2 is in stores now.
