(AllHipHop News) Rapper Drake will step in the boxing ring this weekend, with undefeated super lightweight champion Devon Alexander “The Great.”

Drake will walk Alexander to the ring this Saturday (March 6) at the Mohegan Sun during Alexander’s fight against Juan Urango.

The Canadian-born rap star will perform his hit single “Forever” before the fight, which will be televised live on HBO.

The 23-year-old’s met in Las Vegas where Alexander was training for the upcoming bout.

“Naturally I’m a big fan of Drake’s,” Alexander said in a statement. “He’s a really nice guy and I like the ‘Forever’ lyric. I’m looking forward to hearing it as an added bit of motivation while I’m walking into the ring to face Juan Urango on Saturday night at Mohegan Sun.”

Even fight promoter Don King was looking forward to Drake’s performance.

“I’ve always loved music and Drake is one of the hottest artist’s in the world today,” King said. “We’ve got the best young boxer in Devon Alexander and this sparkling young singer Drake. It’s going to be something special on Saturday night.”
