(AllHipHop News) Detroit rapper Obie Trice will try his hand as an executive with the launch of his new label, Black Market Entertainment LLC. On May 7th, Obie will officially launch the label with various music executives at Via Nove, a metro-Detroit restaurant located in Ferndale. Artists scheduled to attend the Obie Experience include Eminem, Akon, D12, Dr. Dre, Trick Trick, DJ House Shoes, Chris Webber, Jerome Bettis, Royce Da 59 and others. Recognition for Detroit artist is a must, and Black Market Entertainment will be a conduit, Obie Trice told AllHipHop.com in a statement.Obie has inked a distribution deal with Universal for his upcoming album fourth solo album Bottoms Up, which is slated to hit stores this year. Although Obie Trice is no longer an artist on Eminems Shady Records imprint, the two remain friends and Bottoms Up will feature an appearance by Eminem. The launch party for Obie Trices Black Market Entertainment takes place from 7-9pm, followed by an after party from 10pm-2am at Via Nove with music by DJ Salam Wreck. A portion of all the proceeds will be donated to the Southeastern Michigan Pop Warner Youth Football and Cheer League.
