THE NEW VIBE COVER!!

Nicki’s killing it!

IS FREEWAY NEXT TO BE SUED?

I  got a press release from Freeway Ricky Ross and he seems a bit upset over the rappers that have used or “profited” from his name. It sounds like he’s got an issue with Freeway in addition to Rick Ross, the Miami dude. Peep:

MAY 25, 2010 – Since his release from a life sentence in federal prison May 4, 2009, Ricky D. Ross a/k/a “Rick Ross”, the ex-drug kingpin from LA, has been preparing to go to war against all parties who profited off of his name unlawfully while he was in jail, without his consent, particularly William L. Roberts II, Def Jam, Universal and others. As the above-named parties gear up to release the 4th “Roberts as RICK ROSS” album titled “Teflon Don”, a storm is brewing in the real “Rick Ross” camp against the anticipated album imminent summer release. It’s no secret that the Boss at Freeway Enterprise. com is unhappy with how his name has been exploited and misused since he went to prison in 1995, and in 2006, the above-named parties signed Roberts to a big record deal and then spent, and made, millions off Ross’ name. Rick Ross protested the exploitation and misuse of his name from prison in 2006, by having a lawyer send letters to Def Jam to cease use, which they ignored.

The above-named parties branded Roberts as “RICK ROSS” and dominated use of the real Rick Ross’ name, created Roberts false drug dealer image and based it on Rick Ross’ real drug dealer image, in the Black, urban crime, and rap community. Roberts’ breakout hit (Everyday I’m) Hustlin was about him falsely being this rapper and drug dealer named “RICK ROSS”, and with the financial backing of the above-named parties, Roberts became a rap star, and Rick Ross got nothing. If Rick Ross was still in jail, the story would be over!

After reading the full rumor, it seems like “others” include Def Jam,  Universal and others. BUT you probably saw the video and the real Rick didn’t give Freeway a pass.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

Peep this write up from the Associated Press. The “Hip-Hop Mayor” has failed us. I’m glad he even rejected that on. He’s fortunate for the five years though, because there are rumors of a stripper down in The A that could further make this a bad situation.

DETROIT – Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to up to five years in prison Tuesday for violating the terms of his probation stemming from his conviction for lying under oath about an affair with his chief of staff.

Kilpatrick, 39, asked Judge David Groner to show him compassion during the hearing, but Groner said “that ship has sailed.”

Kilpatrick was led from the courtroom in handcuffs.

At issue is $1 million Kilpatrick was ordered to pay the city after pleading guilty in 2008 to obstruction of justice. Groner ruled last month that Kilpatrick failed to report all of his assets and meet other conditions of his probation.

On Tuesday, he ordered Kilpatrick to serve at least one-and-a-half years in prison, but credited him with 120 days of time served from his original sentence. Kilpatrick is still obligated to pay back the remaining balance of his debt to the city, but to do that he’ll have to find a new job after he’s freed. Shortly after the sentencing, Compuware Corp. said that Kilpatrick has being fired from his job as a medical software salesman for its Dallas-based subsidiary, Covisint.

He won’t do the whole five and he’ll write a magnificent book  after this blows over.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

16-year-old twins stand accused of killing their mother! Peep the story from AJC.com!

Just days after Jarmecca “Nikki” Whitehead was killed, many of her friends had already fingered a suspect, or suspects.

Their suspicions were confirmed Friday when the Conyers beautician’s twin daughters, Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah, were arrested and charged with murder in their mother’s Jan. 14 death. Whitehead was found in a pool of blood, beaten and stabbed repeatedly. The twins will be tried as adults.

“I never thought they were capable of murder before she died,” said Whitehead’s friend and former boss, Michelle Temple. “Who would think that? But after she was murdered, I knew it was them.”

By all accounts, the 16-year-old girls had become difficult for their mother to handle. Once honor students and Girl Scouts, “Tas” and “Jas,” as they were known, continually pushed boundaries, breaking rules and acting out whenever discipline was imposed.

“The girls wanted to do what they wanted to do,” said Yucca Harris, Whitehead’s best friend.

Tas and Jas had moved back home just eight days before their mother’s death. They had been living with their elderly great-grandmother for about a year and a half following an incident in which they physically assaulted Whitehead, requiring police intervention, said Petrina Sims, owner of Simply Unique, a salon where Whitehead worked until her death.

Their great-grandmother thinks they did it too…dag on!

NOBODY, WE LOVE YOU!!!
