I was going to do this over the weekend, but I had to hold it!
YES! We all know this Hip-Hop collaboration is one that will never materialize the way we want it to, but it has happened. HOW? Well, its not the song “Pressure” that Jimmy Iovine balked about a year or so ago (wait, that was just a month or so ago). This Jay/Dre collaboration is actually commercial for Beats By Dre and Jay-Z has a verse on it. On top of that, Friday my sources tell me they filmed a video for the song, which will push and publicize the thingy that they are selling. I guess, headphones are more promising than Detox. Look for a Diddy version/video/song too.

NEW YORK – AllHipHop.com and TheGrio.com, in partnership with NBC News, will debut “Hip-Hop and Politics: From The Beat to The Ballot” starting June 14. The weeklong series will run on both websites as part of Black Music Month.
Throughout the week, theGrio and AllHipHop will feature original interviews, articles and editorials highlighting some of leading forces in hip-hop and politics – past and present – from The Last Poets to Jay-Z. TheGrio and AllHipHop will chart the evolution of Hip-Hop and politics by highlighting the best political Hip-Hop songs – from Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power” to KRS-One’s “Stop the Violence” – and will address some of the key issues including censorship, sexuality, religion and racial discrimination, that Hip-Hop has raised through the years. The series will also look forward at who will carry the torch of activism in the world of political Hip-Hop in the future .

THE NYPD IS TRYING TO LINK FABOLOUS TO A MURDER!?
I hope Fab can raise over this madness, because the NYPD is trying to link him to the murder of Memphis Bleek’s artist G-Baby. G-Baby was loved by people in the NYC area, as I could tell, but I never heard of him before that day. Anyway, Fab was there that night. The police say that Fab left the club mere moments before the young rapper was shot. Now, I don’t know why that would make him a suspect, but you know the police tuck info away before they roll it all out. So, they may have released this to the press with some other purpose. SMH. Still, G-Baby’s family told the NY Daily News that Fab and G-Baby had some beef, but it was over. They had planned to talk that night, but G-Baby was shot first. When G-Baby was died, Fab said, “”Lost a soldier in the field this morning. R.I.P. G Baby.” At the end of the day, it sounds like crap. Fab performed and left. After he left G-Baby was tragically slain.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY
What is going on? Ahhhh…so many Epic Fails, so little time.
The iPad is the hottest thing in the streets. Its so hot…that the heat may have fried some fools brains. Police in Arizona, an already hot place…politically and otherwise, say two men tried to sell/trade an iPod Touch and 7-grams of WEED for a 32G iPad. They did this with an ad on CraigsList according to ABC News. They even posted pictures of the weed on Craigslist and the cops swarmed on them. They were even more stupid for trying to get an expensive iPad ($600 – $730) for an iPod Touch worth under $300. Don’t know how much the weed was good for. Maybe it was some fine Jamaican good good. Well, they got all bad bad after they got told on.

Sad days in Arkansas and further proof that something just isn’t right. About 16 people are confirmed dead in Arkansas after intense flooding hit the state. The flash floods hit campgrounds and there are dozens of people still missing. They expect people to be found for weeks to the ferocious speed and strength of the flash floods. The waters in the Caddo and Little Missouri rivers rose at about 8 feet per hour. You would think they would warn people if they knew that. Anyway, people lost everything, including their cars. They say one truck in the flood was like a boat tied to a tree it was so aggressive on the vehicle. That truck also saved their lives by shielding them from the water. The big question is… how can roughly 6 inches of rain rise a river 20 feet?
