Common hit the stage on Saturday (June 26th) at the Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, Ny as the headlining act at the Fort Greene Festival. The Chicago MC performed some of his classic hits including “The People,” “Go,” and “I Used to Love Her.”

In addition, Common payed a tribute to Hip-Hop with a myriad blend of verses from classic songs from artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Brand Nubian’s Sadat X also joined Comm on stage to rap his part of the group’s classic record “Slow Down.”

In the true essence of Hip-Hop, Common also went into a 10 minute freestyle towards the wrap of his set. The annual Fort Greene Festival was co-hosted by actor Malik Yoba, Rosie Perez and BET personality Toure.
