Exclusive: Freeway Ricky Ross Facing Jail Time For Alleged Probation Violations

(AllHipHop News) Former drug kingpin-turned community activist Freeway Ricky Ross is facing another jail sentence, for allegedly violating the terms of his probation.

Rick Ross, who was released from prison in September of 2009, was originally given a life sentence for attempting to buy 100 kilos of cocaine from a federal agent in 1996.

His sentence was reduced when one his sources turned out to be connected to the CIA and the Iran-Contral scandal.

Rick Ross served almost a total of 30 years in prison, for dominating the crack cocaine trade in south-central Los Angeles, where he oversaw a cocaine empire that raked in as much as $1,000,000 per day in the mid-1980s.

Since Freeway Rick’s release, he has launched FreewayEnterprises.com.

He has been on speaking tours around the country, held blood drives and mentored youths, while preaching a anti-drug and anti-gang message.

Freeway Rick Ross’ work has also earned him numerous accolades, from a number of universities and institutions.

But his work has also put his future in jeopardy, as he is being accused of associating with convicted felons.

In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com Rick Ross revealed that he is facing a judge tomorrow (October 11th), where he could be sent back to prison for as long as six months.

Freeway Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com that he is being accused of associating with felons he served the majority of his prison time with, due to phone calls he made to inmates he knows inside of various federal prisons.

The phone calls put Freeway Rick in direct violation of the terms of his probation, which bars him from associating or cavorting with any other convicted felon.

To make matters worse, Freeway Rick believes his probation officer has it out for him, due to his popularity based off his infamous past.

“They know I’ve been talking to the kids and all that and that don’t mean nothing,” Freeway Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com. “They claim I was associated with felons because I took a picture with one guy did time with, and the other guy, I didn’t even know him. I guess they think I shouldn’t be able to do things I do, since I got famous from selling drugs.”

While it may seem odd that Freeway Rick decided to talk to inmates inside of prison, to him, the telephone calls were very innocent.

“These were people that I served the majority of my time with, people who helped me,” Rick Ross explained. “I’m talking about guys who taught me how to read and write, guys who helped me with my case and eventually my freedom.”

Since his freedom, Rick Ross is been engaged in various activities in Los Angeles, including mentoring youths and participating in a football camps for at risk children aged 8 to 18 years of age.

He has also opened a number of businesses, including his social network FreewayEnterprises.com and a diesel truck business “Ross Express,” which owns two diesel trucks and is bringing in as much as $4000 per week, according to Rick Ross.

Rick Ross has also been working with and MJZ Productions and Amare Stoudemire to produce his life story in a movie that will be directed by Nick Cassavetes (“Blow” “Alpha Dog” “The Notebook”).

According to Rick Ross, a number of high-profile actors have looked at the script for his life story, including Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Don Cheadle and others.

Freeway Rick Ross believes that all of these things will help him tomorrow when he faces a familiar face, the same judge that gave him a life sentence, in 1996.

“We have a long history. It’s going to be like an old reunion,” Freeway Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com. “She knows me well and I believe she will be impressed that I haven’t committed any crimes. She knows I don’t lie to her and I think she respects me. The last time I saw her, she knocked four years off my sentence. I think she did that because of how far I came. She hasn’t seen me in five or six years, so when she see me now, I’ve grown even more.”

If you had the opportunity to make a million dollars IN A DAY, you’d do the same thing he did. I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying those morals you have would probably go up in smoke if you had that opportunity presented to you. The dude’s trying to do good, he’s not out here trying to make the lifestyle he lived seem appealing. And to put all the blame on him is F*cking retarded. There was a GOVERNMENT AGENCY putting mass amounts of cocaine in this country, but you’re mad at Ricky Ross? Like I said, it’s f*cked up and he contributed to a huge problem, but he served his time and now he’s trying to do good. If you want to hold a grudge, hold it against the CIA and whoever else was involved behind the scenes.

    • cody hunt

this is about right anyone how has a chance to make that kind of money in a day would do it cause i am telling you i sure as hell would !

  • EVERYTIME SOMEBODY GET INTO IT WITH OFFICER WILLIAM ROBERTS THEY ALWAYS END UP HAVING LEGAL PROBLEMS HMMM……..

    @ GROUCHY GREG

BUT ANYWAY, WTF IS UP WITH THIS NEW BULLSHIT? IAND WHY CAN’T WE JUST LOG IN UNDER OUR OLD USER NAMES? WHY WE GOT TO LOG IN TROUGH A SOCIAL NETWORK ACCOUNT?  WHY YALL GET RID OF JUST SIGNING UP HERE AND POSTING?……….OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

  • He’s an idiot, the probation officer says “Dont Associate with Known Felons”, then you dont, there aint no “uuuhhhhh, I only did it because uuuuhhhhh I was tryin to uhhhhhhh”, SMH, Your PO aint trying to hear that, you knew the rules and you broke them, I’ve been on Probation before and they tell you loud and clear what the rules are, you think because your a Semi-Famous person the rules should be diffrent for you???

Like I said, dudes an idiot……….Take your 6 months in County and wear your dunce cap, and when you come out, make better decisions

  • myopinionmatterz

@yahoo-ICF2XN6TJ3GFKKLGOHBVMOCNRE:disqus  erok hey dumb ass, how in the hell did this man “invent” crack? he chose to use another “method of production” of the drug. if you get mad at him for what he’s done, then where are your websites fighting for the production of alcohol, tobacco products, prescription meds, and etc? are you also involved with an organization to bring all the corrupt officials that we place in office every year? have you boycotted all the governments and business that profited from the slave trade? are you currently on wall street protesting? basically, if you were poor and presented with an option to make millions, what would you do? remember at the time he became the rick ross we now know, crack was new and everyone was playing with it. in closing, continue to use that energy to make this place better for all of us.

The mans trying to do some good in the world. The dude who stole his name, is promoting the same things he lived and learned from enough to help the youth. He served 30 years, and paid a huge debt to society for the damage he caused. You got rappers worth 200 million dollars making records about still selling crack. Someone oughta lock they asses up, for corrupting the youth

  • YaheardSyndicate

Thats what makes me laugh. Rappers will claim their hood, then you go to it and it looks like a piece of shit still. All they did was move out, and keep trying to claim it. Bump stadiums, and basketball teams, and nightclubs and clothing lines, go make your crappy looking neighborhood better. build a community center. Truth is them dudes cant even go home

  • can he live??? damn off his nuts please the man tryin to do right!
