(AllHipHop News) Though Akon hasn’t been present on the mic or released an album since his 2008 effort Freedom, the Senegalese-American artist/producer remains relevant behind the scenes as he adds gospel rapper Mail Music to his Konvict Muzik imprint.
“He’s a mogul,” Mali Music states, as he gives Konvict Muzik CEO Akon praise. “He’s done so much and it’s just a blessing that he was affected and impacted by the ministry and by the songs.”

Already showing his success in scouting new talent, as he executively signed T-Pain and Lady Gaga, Akon will expand his reach with artists that create music for gospel, pop and R&B genres.
Mali Music’s new upcoming album is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2012.
