New York DJ/producer/Shade 45 radio host Statik Selektah’s recently released Population Control album features more MCs than a little bit – and among his rap arsenal are some surprising names, including up and coming Christian rapper Lecrae.
The mystery man in the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher, Lecrae, is steadily building his fan base, which boasts more than just the churchgoing rap crowd these days, thanks to things like the Statik feature and national TV exposure.
