So Twitter and the Internet are all abuzz right now with the news that after 10-1/2 years of marriage, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, has filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court. The couple has seen their share of problems in the past. Remember this?:

A representative for the couple released a statement saying, “The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012.”

They added, we “ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

What that statement doesn’t mention is that KOBE APPARENTLY HAS NO PRE-NUP! Hopefully Kobe wasn’t out freakin’ while he had all that time off during the lockout, ’cause while Vanessa might be sad, that could make her an even richer, single woman soon.

Update: Now we’re hearing rumblings that NBA Commissioner David Stern may be trying to halt the divorce petition, citing “basketball reasons.” Huh? Can he do that??
