(AllHipHop News) Rapper/mogul Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce Knowles are the proud parents of a baby girl.

The couple welcomed Blue Ivy Carter at Lenox Hill Hospital early this morning in New York.

According to reports, Beyoncé checked in on Friday (January 8) under the name in for “Ingrid Jackson.”

The pair rented out the fourth floor of the house for a whopping $1.3 million.

Security guards patrolled the hospital and locked the entire wing down, prompting some doctors to complain that they could not see their patients.

Although there was some confusion around the child’s name, close friend Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted that the baby’s name is “Blue Ivy.”
