(AllHipHop News) Two-time Grammy Award winner T-Pain is hosting this year’s incarnation of the “Your Next Record” contest, presented by Guitar Center and several sponsors.
The rapper/singer will be joining artists like Travis Barker, Country singer Keith Urban, and iconic guitarist Slash, who previously partook and hosted the competition in years past.
Complex reached out to Pain and asked how he would go about picking the winner for the contest. He responded, “Me and Young Fyre, we’re going to literally just take days and listen to all the music. I’m just looking for something new, you know? Something I’ve never heard before.”
The contest prize for the winner includes:
- A three-song EP produced by Young Fyre
- T-Pain as co-writer and co-producer of your single
- Complete Pro Tools HD Native recording studio
- Akai MPC 5000 music production center
- New gear and products from Shure, Izotope, and Rockstar Energy Drink
- Worldwide music distribution from Tunecore
