(AllHipHop News)</strong> Rap icons Public Enemy have been scheduled to headline and perform at this year’s Movement Electronic Music Festival which takes place in Detroit during Memorial Day weekend.

In addition to their headlining performance on Sunday, May 27, Public Enemy will be previewing new music from their upcoming album, Most of My Heroes Still Don’t Appear On No Stamp, which is set for release later this year along with a second brand-new album titled The Evil Empire of Everything.

In 2011 alone, the Movement Electronic Music Festival drew a crowd of almost 100,000 fans to Detroit’s Hart Plaza. In an interview with Billboard, festival artist coordinator Chuck Flask said, “Our lineup for 2012 is comprised of artists who are innovators in their own right and who have deep roots within the underground worlds of their respective musical genres. With Movement, our goal is always to book artists who represent the purest form of the music we all fell in love with, whether they have been doing it for decades, or are an emerging talent new on the scene. With this announcement, we are well on our way to achieving our goal.”

Other performers at this year’s festival inciude Lil’ Louis, Mr. Oizo, Busy P, Damian Lazarus, Major Lazer, Radio Slave, and many more. In addition to Movement’s five stages, the festival will feature art exhibits and an interactive technology center.

Tickets for the Movement Electronic Music Festival are now on sale and are priced at $75 for a three-day pass and $200 for a V.I.P. ticket.
